Amenajarea trotuarelor şi parcărilor cu beton sau asfalt duce la costuri ridicate pe termen lung.
Aceasta roca este rezistenta la ciclurile îngheț-desgheț fiind usor de intretinut, isi pastreaza proprietatile (culoarea, textura, rezistenta) o perioada indelungata de timp, reprezentand astfel unul dintre cele mai practice materiale pentru pavaj.
